When I think of a "Writing/Reading Workshop" I think of a day when students work on both writing and reading together. I imagine it would include an activity that involves writing and reading in conjunction, like reading something then writing about it. I also think it would be designed to help improve writing and reading skills simultaneously in the same session. Other than these initial ideas, I don't really know what a Writing/Reading Workshop is. I feel like we may have talked about this in previous classes (like ECI 306 or 307) but not specific memories come up right away. A Writing/Reading Workshop can probably be conducted different ways depending on what the teacher hopes to accomplish.
